Educational Background | 1. Master’s degree in Law/Political Science/Public Administration/History/Sociology with at least 55% marks, having adequate knowledge of Constitution of India and should preferably possess experience in the Panchayati Raj System and Rural Development. 2. Ph.D. in above or related subjects. |
Professional Experience | a. At least 2 years of relevant project work experience in Panchayati Raj System or Rural Development; b. Experience in program coordination, advocacy and community engagement. |

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Research Associate shall:
- Foster a vibrant research culture by developing research strategies (outlining aims, priorities, and key areas of research);
- Facilitate interdisciplinary and collaborative research projects;
- Contribute to the academic field by presenting the researches conducted by OCPPR at conferences and publishing in reputed journals;
- Monitor the effective execution of dissemination workshops, seminars, conferences, symposia, legal awareness programmes, and outreach programmes;
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment;
- Any other duty related to the functioning of the OCPPR assigned by the Chair Professor, Panchayati Raj, CNLU, Patna.
MANDATE OF OCPPR
a) OCPPR is a collaborative initiative between the Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna and Department of Panchayati Raj, Govt. of Bihar. The prime objective is to facilitate training and research in the field of Panchayati Raj System.
b) Conduct Action-based Research: Bridge knowledge gaps through empirical research, evidence generation, and synthesis to document best practices on Panchayati Raj System and write study report.
c) Facilitate Dissemination: Organize workshops/seminars/lectures and consultative meetings to share research findings, promote dialogue in the field of Panchayati Raj System.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
- Candidates furnishing incorrect or false information will be disqualified.
- Original documents must be produced at the time of the interview or after selection when required.
- The OCPPR reserves the rights to fill or not to fill, advertised post without providing any reasons.
- Bihar Reservation Rules and Regulations will apply to the candidate selection process.
- This position is purely contractual and is subject to renewal as needed.
- The post shall be purely temporary and the CNLU will have no responsibility for the continuance of the post or any financial obligation for that. The post of Research Associate will continue till the financial support of the Panchayati Raj Department, Govt. of Bihar to the Panchayati Raj Chair, CNLU, Patna.
- The appointee shall have no claim for the permanent post in future.
- Selection will be made purely on the basis of candidate’s previous record and performance in the interview.
- The date of Online Interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates through their email. All correspondence with the applicant will be done through the same Email ID.
- No correspondence, whatsoever, will be entertained from candidates regarding conduct and result of interview and reasons for not being called for interview or selection.
- No travel allowance or dearness allowance will be provided to attend the selection process.
